- SERMON LIBRARY -

Welcome to the preachin' library! This list will continue to grow as we have time to convert and upload the messages, but if there is something you have heard Brother Pittman preach in one of his meetings, please let us know. If it has been recorded, we will do our best to make it available right here. To hear a sermon, double click its title in the playlist to the right. It may take a few seconds for streaming to begin, so give it a little time.

LOVE THEM WHILE YOU CAN - This is one of Preacher Pittman’s most beloved sermons. In it he reminds us that the most valuable thing we can give to our family, church and friends is our time. Memories are the only lasting things that you can leave behind, so be sure to love the ones you love while you have them with you.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

STILL SPORTING - Taken from the story of Isaac sporting with Rebecca in Genesis 26, Brother Pittman stresses the importance of keeping love alive. Whether your a newlywed or have been married for 50 years, this sermon is a funny but warm reminder to slow down and make memories with the ones you love. Every married couple - every family should take the time to listen to this message. This sermon is a favorite of Brother Pittman's daughters.

THE GREAT INVITATION - "Come unto me...and I will give you rest." Life is filled with burdens, many of which are never known to another person. But there is hope. Christ extends an invitation to come to him for rest - not a physical rest, but rest for the soul - Soul Rest. The invitation is made. You choose to accept it.
Matthew 11:28-30.

THE SEARCHING EYES OF THE LORD - Brother Pittman reminds us that God's eyes are searching for a willing vessel. The prerequisite is not brains, not strength, not ability - no it's surrender and a desire to do what we are able to do for the Lord. Moses stuttered and the little boy had only 5 loaves and 2 fishes - neither appeared to be prime candidates to do anything great for God, but God did use them because of one special element - they were willing. What is stopping you from doing something great for God?
II Chronicles 16

AND PETER - His name is mentioned 163 times in the Bible. He wrote two epistles. He swore of his unwavering love for Jesus and was ready to fight Roman soldiers to protect his Lord. Peter was one of if not the most passionate of Jesus' disciples. Imagine, then, how he must have felt when those words slipped out of his mouth and the cock crew. No one is immune from falling and although we often face the consequences of our sins, all is not lost. Jesus still loves us and it's when we're at our lowest that He sends his Word to tell the disciples and [your name] that He's looking for you and still loves you.
Mark 16:1-8

BUILDING YOUR HOME - Satan works around the clock trying to destroy today's Christian family because he knows that if the family breaks down, then the church will too. He tries to temp us with "things." He even tried to temp Jesus Christ when he took him to the mountain top and said "All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me." In this sermon, Preacher Pittman reminds us to keep our focus on what brings true happiness. Contentment is not found in "things" that you can hold in your hand, but rather in the love, memories & relationships that we build with our families.

HIS NAME - Jesus. At that time in history, the name "Jesus" was common. But there's nothing common about this Jesus. It's only through the precious name of Jesus that life and salvation can be found. There's just something about that name.
Ephesians 2:5-11

JESUS, THE LILY AMONG THE THORNS - We grow roses for our pleasure. They smell good. They're beautiful. How often do you walk by a rose bush and comment on all those horrible, ugly thorns? Never. You see only the beauty. Why is it then, that so many Christians have difficulty noticing the flowers in their life? We must remember to open our eyes to the many good things in life and take in the sweet aroma of God's love. Quit focusing on the negative. Jesus is our sweet smelling lily among the thorns.
Song of Solomon 2: 1-2

THERE - Shortly before the Apostle Paul's beheading, he reflected on the good fight that he fought for the Lord. He looked forward to going to heaven, where "There is laid up for me a crown of righteousness." We will definitely run into difficult times as we serve the Lord but we must remember the next chapter, There.
II Timothy 4:1-8

MANASSEH BEFORE EPHRAIM - By the time that Joseph was promoted to 2nd-in-command under the king of Egypt, nearly 1/2 of his life had been spent in slavery and betrayal. Who better than Joseph had the right to be bitter? The name Manasseh, Joseph's firstborn, means "he hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house." Ephraim (his 2nd son) means "fruitful in a land of affliction." Despite the fact that Joseph was "done wrong," he put it all behind him and prospered. As Christians, we can never be fruitful until we can put behind us all the bad things that people have done to us. In other words, we have to have a Manasseh before we can have an Ephraim.

LET US GO ON

HE MARVELED - In Matthew 8: 10, Jesus is talking to the Centurion and this man has so much faith in Jesus’ healing power that he knows that if Jesus would just speak the words, his servant would be healed. Jesus looked at this Centurion and marveled at all this man’s faith, but then in Mark 6:6, Jesus marvels because of their unbelief. There can be two Christians who are given the same situation but each one handles it differently. Jesus will either marvel at our belief and faith or He will marvel at our unbelief and our lack of faith.
Matthew 8: 5-13; Mark 6: 1-6

THE STRONGER MAN - Jesus has cast out devils from a dumb man and the people are accusing Him of doing it through the devil (Beelzebub) which in truth, by attributing the work of the Lord to the devil is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, but here these people are blaming Him of such. Jesus tells them that if He was in fact the devil, why would He cast out devils? That would make Him divided and a house divided will fall. Jesus tells them the devil is strong there is no doubt about that, but there is a stronger One - The Lord Jesus! There’s a strong man that is going to tempt us with everything he can throw at us, but there is a Stronger Man that help keep us from it.
Luke 11: 14-23

SOME COUNTRY - Paul, a prisoner on a ship, is about to be judged by Caesar, and although Paul warns them that since it’s winter time they should not sail, but they do not heed the man of Gods warning. Once they get near Crete, a strong storm arises on the sea called Euroclydon and it’s one of the most ferocious storms ever. There seemed to be no hope that they would make it. That’s kind of what happens when you don’t listen to the man of God. Now God could have kept the storm from coming but He didn’t. He did keep them safe through the storm though. While they are in this storm, the shipmen look and took courage because they were drawing near to some country. God is going to let storms come in our life, but rest assured He will bring us through it and we will be drawing near to not just any country, but some country!
Acts 27:13-29

OUR JOURNEY THROUGH THE WILDERNESS - The children of Israel had been in the wilderness for 40 years. They had left Egypt and were heading to Canaan Land, but while in the wilderness, the wilderness had snakes, scorpions and desert, and was a difficult place to live. Sometimes God lets some bad things happen and we don’t understand; God will lead you in the wilderness to humble you, to prove you, and to show He can take care of us. But He also brings us through the wilderness to take us into a good land.
Deuteronomy 8: 1-9

WHEN GOD MAKES NO SENSE- God told Abraham to take Isaac and offer him for a sacrifice to Him. Why would God do that, especially when He said He was going to make him a great nation? God was testing Abraham. Just like Abraham, sometimes in our life things happen and we don’t understand why. In Proverbs 3: 5, God says even when we don’t understand Him, TRUST Him.
Genesis 22: 1-3
